John Denver is a popular singer and songwriter who has touched a lot of people with his music. Many of these have roots in Colorado. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, the singer-songwriter fell in over Colorado and later settled in Aspen. Denver's famous songs about his new home state have brought many others to make the move to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame has stated in his report that John Denver was the best singer to have captured Colorado. Denver became one of the very premier Hall of Fame inductee in 2011. Denver has become the image of Colorado for a lot of people around the world. On my trips I've had the pleasure of meeting people who are from New Zealand or the other side. If you say that you're from Colorado First words they say are Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Denver's first Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short time in folk bands included Take Me Home Country Roads co-written with Bill Danoff. Danoff originally wrote it by putting Johnny Cash's song in his the back of his mind, however Denver was aware from the very first moment he heard earlier versions that the track would become a major smash. The artist recorded the song within a couple of days before performing the song to crowds of enthusiastic fans who were in Washington D.C.
