April Ross
April Ross is only one of the few beach volleyball players to have won medals more than once at an Olympics. Alix klineman, who is competing for the first time at the Tokyo Olympics and will attempt to win her third medal. Ross will also be hoping for her very first Olympic gold. At 39, this could be her last opportunity to claim an Olympic gold. However, she's confident that the top awards are in reach. Ross on NBC Boston, said that when the team performs very well, or even at all, they could win a gold. Also, I am going to rely on a bit of luck. Ross born the 22, 1982, in Costa Mesa California. She resided in the area along with her entire family. In addition to playing in numerous sports, Ross also attended Newport Harbor High School. As a prep-athlete she was also a participant in indoor volleyball and track. In the last sport, she clearly stood out. Based on her biography, she was an outside blocker as well as a middle hitting volleyball player during her high-school career. The award was presented to her as one of the Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the Year in 1999 due to her accomplishments. She also won the Orange County Athlete of the of the year for volleyball. Ross and Klineman have been continuing to play in 2017. But, Ross was a major player in the world of beach volleyball prior to the pair. In fact, she's been able to win multiple events, and one was won by an iconic volleyball player. Between 2007 and 2013, she was partnered by Jennifer Kessy, who is the coach she is currently. Along with Kessy Ross, she won the World Championship in 2009 when she competed on the international circuit. The pair eventually picked up a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) and Misty Maytreanor clinched gold beating them to it. Ross Jennings took over for May-Treanor when she retired. The pair went on to earn bronze in beach volleyball during the Rio Olympics in the year 2016. Ross participated in the USC Trojans in the college years following her graduation from high school. Ross had an impressive run during her time in the NCAA tournament. In 2000 she was named Pac-10 Freshman as well as NCAA Freshman Of The Year. She was also named an All-American. In 2000, her Trojans were also able to make it to the Final Four. The second season of her career she suffered a devastating personal loss, yet managed to earn the honor of being named an All-American. Through her two final years of participation in the Trojans team, she led the team to win a national championship every time. In 2003-04, Ross was named the best female volleyball player at a collegiate level in the United States through The Honda Sports Award. Ross, who was a USC international relations student was a volleyball star. Margie Ross was not able to see Ross reach beach volleyball's highest stage. Margie, Ross's mother, passed away in 2001, when Ross was a USC sophomore. Her breast cancer had been diagnosed. She continues to remember her deceased parent close and close. Margie is a source of inspiration throughout her life, as well as on the beach.
