Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after her hometown. Michel Horowitz is her father as well as Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder is a self-described Jewish and descends from Ryder's Jewish father. She has two younger half-siblings, Jubal and Sunyata. When Ryder was only seven her family moved to Mendocino County California. There they didn't have electricity. There was no television books was her only source of entertainment to spend the time and she was a voracious reader. Ryder started taking acting classes at the American Conservatory Theatre when she reached the age of 12. Lucas was let go in 1986, and Ryder who was just 15 years old, was offered the role of a leading actor. Ryder was subject to bullying in high school. Ryder believed that if she became an actor, her behavior would be changed. However, it didn't come to pass. However, she was determined to pursue the dreams she had. In 1988, in the year Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that was her breakthrough. Ryder played successful roles for several films. Ryder was nominated twice for Academy Awards one for her part in The Age of Innocence (1993).
